Door & Rear Panels, BMW 2002 Series (E10)

There were two versions of the door panels for the BMW 2002 Series (E10): early version (1966-1973) and late version (1974-1976). The "early" version had one strip of chrome on the top and two strips of chrome on the bottom while the "late" version had only one strip of chrome on the bottom. If you want genuine OEM parts, the "early" door panels are still being produced in Germany. But that's it. No "early" rear panels and none of the "late" version panels. World Upholstery has reproduced the two versions of door panels and offer door and rear panel sets for both "early" and "late" versions. They're heat-sealed like the original and no recognizable difference from the OEM. The reproduction "early" panels are more complete and requires less trimming than the reproduction "late" panels thus the price difference.

The OEM door panels ("early" version) are only available in Black and Marine Blue and sold individually. The skin is installed on the board and anything attached needs to be re-used or replaced.

Special Note: These door panels are made-to-order and can take 1-2 weeks to ship.

The reproduction of the "early" version have the skins fully installed on the boards. All four panels are ready to be placed on the car. Like the OEM, this is the panel only. You must re-use or replace the parts attached to the panel. The rear panels do not have the pockets. You must reuse the pocket board and the ash tray for the rear panels.

Repro Door & Rear Panels (1974-1976), BMW 2002 Series (E10)

Special Note: If the early door panels is outside of your budget, these 1974-1976 panels will also fit the early (1966-1973) 2002's. Of course the design will be the late style. Also, these panels are almost always in stock and ship within a few days.

The reproduction of the "late" version is more simple (and cheaper). It has 6 separate pieces: 2 door skins, 2 door panel boards and 2 rear skins. The skins are heat-sealed like the original and has the chrome trim on the bottom. You are required to install the skins to the boards and you must re-use your old rear panel boards. See pictures below for reference. Part # 3 is the reason we cannot pre-install the skins. That part attaches to the door panel board first before you install the skin. Once you install the skin, you can install parts # 1 & # 2 using clip # 5. Door clip # 6 is what allows you to install the door panel to the car. Clips # 5 and # 6 are sold by World Upholstery. Parts # 1 to # 4 can be take from your old doors and re-used. The pictures below is for the 1974-1976 door panels.
